Agartala: The Tripura Directorate of IT has launched a special drive to register startups in the state under the aegis of the New Sector Agnostic Tripura Start-up Policy.
The policy was launched earlier in January by Chief Minister Manik Saha and the state IT Minister Pranajit Singha Roy. Subsequently, a total of 28 entities have applied for registration as startups under this initiative as of 24 March.
To further encourage more registrations, a spot registration drive as well as an Awareness Campaign, was started on 25 March at IT Bhavan and will conclude at ICFAI University on 2 April.
IT Director Jeya Ragul Gesham outlined the importance of a robust startup ecosystem across various sectors in fostering Tripura’s industrial development.
The spot campaign will facilitate easy registration and increase awareness about the benefits and opportunities for DPIIT-registered startups. This could be a game changer for the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Tripura.
