New Delhi: AICTE’s National Educational Alliance for Technology (NEAT) 4.0 has added placement preparation platform PrepInsta to its list of partners.
The collaboration aims to provide industry-relevant training to students, particularly in high-demand fields like artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing and data science.
Focus on Industry Skills and Employability
PrepInsta’s inclusion in NEAT 4.0 will allow students to access its upskilling courses through the AICTE portal. The platform, founded in 2019, offers training in areas such as generative AI, machine learning, and data analytics, aiming to bridge the skill gap in India’s workforce.
The company also provides colleges with a SaaS-based tool to monitor students’ placement progress and conduct assessments. According to PrepInsta’s co-founder, Manish Agarwal, the partnership aligns with the goal of improving employability by making career-focused skills more accessible.
Expansion Plans and Placement Impact
PrepInsta has partnered with over 100 institutions, including VIT University, SRM University, and NorthCap University. It plans to extend its reach to 250 colleges in the next fiscal year. The company claims to have increased placement rates by 25 per cent and raised the average salary packages for students by 40 per cent at its partnered colleges.
Under the NEAT 4.0 initiative, PrepInsta will offer free course subscriptions to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The NEAT program, launched by the Ministry of Education in 2019, seeks to enhance tech education and job readiness among students, particularly those from underserved communities.
Acquisition by Adda247
In a recent development, EdTech firm Adda247 acquired PrepInsta, signaling plans for further expansion in the sector. The acquisition is expected to strengthen PrepInsta’s capacity to scale its offerings and integrate with more institutions.
The collaboration with AICTE’s NEAT 4.0 initiative adds to the growing list of industry-academia partnerships aimed at improving technical education and workforce readiness in India.
