Chennai, September 15 (APAC Media): Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay has signed four investment agreements in the United Kingdom during his visit.
These deals include investments worth around Rs 12,300 crore and are expected to create nearly 9,000 jobs.
Details of the Investment Deals
- A major investment deal has been signed with Samvardhana Motherson International Limited for Rs 11,000 crore. The project is expected to create around 7,000 jobs across design, engineering, manufacturing, assembly, and logistics facilities.
- Another agreement of Rs 1,000 crore has been signed with a British company, through Ernst & Young, to develop a Global Capability Centre in Chennai. The proposed centre is expected to create around 2,000 high-value jobs.
- In addition, the CM also signed a pact with the Sweden-based Sigma Technology Group to expand its Global Capability Centres in Chennai and Tiruchirappalli, creating around 600 high-value jobs.
- A fourth agreement with Wilson Power Solutions involves an investment of Rs 300 crore. This deal is expected to generate around 400 jobs in the Tiruvallur district.Â
These agreements come against the backdrop of the Tamil Nadu government’s investment vision, as CM Vijay travelled to the UK.
