Siliguri: Following up on a state of industrial project and investment announcements during Synergy business meet, the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced another spate of developmental projects today.
These include a skywalk for Jalpesh Mandir in Jalpaiguri for Rs 5 crore.
The Shitala Mandir in Banarhat will be restored and revamped for another Rs 1 crore. The Morgan House in Kalimpong has been allocated a fund for revamp.
There were announcements to build more houses for tea garden workers under the Tea Sundari project. A hospital will come up for Rs 9 crore in Birpara, surrounded by tea gardens.
The Falakata approach road will be built at a cost of Rs 60 crore. Many other tourist places in North Bengal and their approach roads and culverts will also be revamped.
There will be an industrial park on 77 acres of land next to Uttarayan in Siliguri. Another Rs 4 crore has been allocated for the excellence centre in Jalpaiguri Sadar block.
