Hubballi: Infosys has launched its state-of-the-art Center for Advanced AI, Cybersecurity, and Space Technology at its Hubballi Development Center (DC) in Karnataka.Â
The new facility is part of the company’s ‘Infosys Living Labs’ network, which includes more than 12 centers worldwide, designed to help clients accelerate innovation and leverage emerging technologies to strengthen their businesses.
The center was inaugurated by M. B. Patil, Minister for Large & Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development, and Priyank Kharge, Minister for Electronics, IT & BT, and Rural Development & Panchayat Raj, Government of Karnataka. Senior Infosys leaders, including Sunil Kumar Dhareshwar and Rajneesh Malviya, along with other government officials, attended the event.
Sectors in focus
The Hubballi center will serve global clients across industries such as manufacturing, financial services, retail, and healthcare. It will focus on advanced digital solutions, including AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity, engineering services, SAP, and space technology, further positioning Hubballi as a strategic technology hub for Infosys.
Focus on regional talent and growth
With over 1,000 employees now working at the Hubballi DC, Infosys is reinforcing its commitment to developing industry-ready talent and supporting inclusive growth in Karnataka. The company has established strong partnerships with institutions such as IIIT Dharwad and KLE Tech to promote innovation and collaboration in the region.
M B Patil stated that Infosys’s expansion in North Karnataka marks a milestone in creating employment opportunities and strengthening collaboration between industry and academia. He emphasized that this growth will help local talent thrive in emerging fields like AI and cybersecurity and encouraged Infosys to expand to other districts in North Karnataka to further boost regional development.
Priyank Kharge noted that the launch of the new Living Labs underscores North Karnataka’s rise as a regional innovation hub. He said the facility will drive economic activity, enhance industry-academia collaboration, and strengthen Hubballi’s role in Karnataka’s digital future.

Sunil Kumar Dhareshwar said that the Living Labs in Hubballi represent a major step in delivering AI-driven digital solutions that can transform industries. He highlighted that with its advanced infrastructure and AI-first approach, the center will enable Infosys to address critical client needs while fostering innovation at scale. The facility also reflects Infosys’s focus on supporting regional growth and nurturing diverse local talent.
