Mumbai: In a fresh round of administrative reshuffles, the Maharashtra government has transferred several IAS officers to strengthen leadership across key departments and improve governance. Senior IAS Tukaram Mundhe (2005 batch) has been appointed as Secretary of the Divyang Kalyan Department at Mantralaya, Mumbai.Â
Mundhe previously served as the Development Commissioner for Unorganised Labor and is known for his administrative discipline and reform-oriented approach.
The other IAS transfers include
- IAS Nitin Kashinath Patil (2007 batch): Appointed as Special Commissioner of State Tax, Maharashtra. Earlier, he was the Managing Director of the Maharashtra State Cotton Growers Marketing Federation.
- IAS Abhay Mahajan (2007 batch): Transferred as Managing Director of the Cotton Federation. Earlier, he was serving as Special Commissioner of State Tax.
- IAS Omkar Pawar (2022 batch): Promoted as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Zilla Parishad, Nashik. He was previously Assistant Collector, Igatpuri Subdivision, Nashik.
- IAS Asha Afzal Khan Pathan: Appointed as Director General of VANAMATI, Nagpur. She will continue to hold additional charge as Joint Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, Nagpur.
These transfers are aimed at improving administrative efficiency across departments.
