New Delhi: In a move to strengthen India’s digital banking ecosystem, Punjab National Bank (PNB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL), a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Communications.
Senior officials from both organizations attended the signing ceremony. TCIL was represented by its Chairman and Managing Director, Sanjeev Kumar, while PNB was represented by General Manager Manish Agrawal, along with senior executives.
Focus Areas of the Partnership
Under the MoU, TCIL will use its expertise in IT consultancy, project management, and turnkey execution to support PNB’s digital transformation. The partnership will focus on:
- Building a strong IT infrastructure to handle rising transaction volumes
- Ensuring regulatory-compliant technologies are aligned with Reserve Bank of India guidelines
- Managing the full RFP lifecycle and system integration
- Acting as a Project Management Consultant (PMC) or Project Implementing Agency (PIA) based on project needs
Supporting Digital India Mission
This collaboration aims to accelerate technology adoption, improve operational resilience, and deliver secure and faster banking services. It aligns with the Government of India’s Digital India mission, aiming to build trust in digital financial services and expand financial inclusion.
