ACC Approves Redesignation of Four 2012 Batch Officers as Directors

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the redesignation of four officers from the 2012 batch of various central services to the post of Director.

The decision will take effect from January 1, 2026. All four officers are currently serving at the level of Deputy Secretary in different central ministries and departments.

The redesignation is in line with their existing central deputation tenure. They will hold the Director-level designation in their respective departments for periods extending up to 2029 or 2030.

List of officers and postings:

• IAS Richa Verma – Department of Higher Education

• IRS-IT Garima Sharma- Department of Higher Education

• IA&AS Padmakar Kushwaha- Department of Atomic Energy

• IPS Shalini Agnihotri- Department of School Education and Literacy

The move reflects routine cadre management and aims to strengthen leadership at the Director level across key central departments.
