New Delhi: The Solar Energy Corporation of India, a Navratna Central Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, has signed a Statement of Intent (SoI) with GEAPP ServiceCo to strengthen India’s clean energy transition.
Significance of the SoI
The SoI aims to enhance collaboration in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on scaling up clean energy solutions and enabling innovative approaches. The partnership will draw on technical expertise, strategic planning, and international best practices to support India’s ambitious renewable energy targets and accelerate project deployment across the country.
MoU with IPGCL and PPCL
In a separate development, SECI signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Indraprastha Power Generation Company Limited (IPGCL) and Pragati Power Corporation Limited (PPCL). This MoU establishes a strategic partnership to explore and implement renewable energy projects, particularly in and around the National Capital Region.
The collaboration is expected to support the transition of conventional power assets toward cleaner energy sources while strengthening regional energy planning and execution.
Strengthening Partnerships for Sustainability
These agreements highlight SECI’s proactive approach to building strong partnerships with both domestic and international stakeholders. By fostering collaboration and innovation, SECI aims to drive cleaner power generation, reduce carbon emissions, and improve India’s long-term energy security.
