Bengaluru: Accenture has agreed to acquire Faculty, a UK-based AI-native services and products company, to help clients improve core business processes using safe and secure AI.Â
The acquisition is aimed at delivering measurable business outcomes through advanced applied AI, including simulation, optimisation, and decision making solutions.
About Faculty and Its AI Expertise
Founded in 2014, Faculty works with both public and private sector organizations across the UK and other key markets. The company offers services spanning AI strategy, AI safety, and the design, development, and deployment of ethical, high-performance AI systems. Faculty is known for its deep technical expertise and focus on responsible AI adoption.
Terms of Acquisition
Once the acquisition is completed, Faculty’s team of more than 400 AI professionals, including data scientists and AI engineers, will join Accenture. This integration will help Accenture scale advanced AI capabilities for its global client base. Faculty Chief Executive Officer will take on the role of Chief Technology Officer at Accenture and will also join the company’s Global Management Committee.
Faculty Frontier, the company’s enterprise decision intelligence platform, will be added to Accenture’s portfolio. The product helps organizations improve decision-making by connecting data, AI models, and business processes. Accenture and Faculty are already working with global life sciences companies, including Novartis, to use Frontier to enhance clinical trial planning and execution.
Expanding AI Talent Development
Accenture will also adopt Faculty’s Fellowship Program, which supports early-career STEM graduates and researchers transitioning from academia to industry. The company plans to expand this program globally for both its workforce and clients.
Accenture and Faculty have collaborated since December 2023. The transaction remains subject to regulatory approvals, and financial terms have not been disclosed.
