Kolkata: IIT Kharagpur will offer a four years Bachelor of Science course in AI abd Data Science in Bengali from the 2026 academic session.
This will be an inclusive online course where entrance will not be through JEE Main or Advanced.
Thr course is designed with multiple entry and exit points that will allow for certificates and diplomas.
The teaching medium will be Bengalu though the technical terminology will be in English to ensure global competitiveness.
There will be provision for campus placement too. The course will also align with NEP 2020 and cater to Bengali-speaking students.
