Kolkata: UTI Mutual Fund has announced the launch of VAANI, a voice-first, agentic AI-powered contact centre solution.
This makes UTI Mutual Fund the first asset management company in India to deploy agentic AI technology for investor servicing.
VAANI is designed to transform how investors interact with the fund house. The solution is expected to automate nearly 79 per cent of inbound investor calls by 2026, marking a major milestone in UTI Mutual Fund’s digital transformation journey. The bilingual AI agent supports conversations in both English and Hindi and can handle a wide range of requests, including general inquiries, account-related support, process-based requests, and investor education.
Unlike traditional IVR systems or rule-based chatbots, VAANI offers context-aware and human-like conversations. The AI agent can understand intent, make decisions, and deliver personalised responses in real time.
The solution is powered by VoicingAI, an enterprise-grade agentic voice AI platform built to meet the accuracy, compliance, and trust requirements of regulated sectors such as financial services.
By automating routine and repetitive interactions, VAANI enables UTI Mutual Fund’s customer service teams to focus on complex and high-value investor queries that require human judgment and specialised expertise. This is expected to improve operational efficiency while enhancing the overall investor experience.
