New Delhi: In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the central government has assigned key roles to three IAS officers under the central staffing scheme. IAS Arindam Chaudhary has been appointed Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Steel.
Chaudhary is a 2014 batch officer of the Himachal Pradesh cadre. He currently serves as the Director (Personnel and Finance) in Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited.
Subsequently, IAS Krishna Bajpai, a 2010 batch officer of the Karnataka cadre, has been appointed the Director in the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment for a period of five years. He currently holds the position of Managing Director of the Gulbarga Electricity Supply Company Limited.
Moreover, IAS Neha Giri, a 2010 batch officer of the Rajasthan cadre, has been appointed the Director in the Ministry of Minority Affairs for a period of five years. She presently serves as the State Mission Director of Rajasthan Grameen Aajeevika Vikas Parishad, or Rajeevika.
These transfers reflect the central government’s efforts to assign experienced officers from state cadres to important ministries.Â
