Chandigarh: As part of a major bureaucratic reshuffle in the state, the Haryana government has appointed IAS Jaideep Kumar as the Additional Secretary of the Public Health Engineering Department.
The state government has newly created the position to strengthen departmental functioning.
A 2019 batch officer of the Haryana cadre, Kumar, was previously awaiting a posting before this assignment. He earlier served as the Additional Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation in Gurugram, where he handled key administrative responsibilities.
The reshuffle is seen as an effort by the Haryana government to streamline governance and improve efficiency across departments. Kumar’s appointment is expected to bring fresh administrative experience to the Public Health Engineering Department, which plays a crucial role in water supply and sanitation services in the state.
