Chandigarh:Â In a key administrative reshuffle, the Haryana government has appointed IAS Vijayendra Kumar as Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department. He replaces IAS Pankaj Agarwal, who has been relieved of the charge.
Vijayendra Kumar, a 1995-batch officer, was previously serving as ACS, Cooperation Department. He was also holding multiple additional responsibilities, including Officer on Special Duty for the proposed Haryana Income Enhancement Board, ACS (Appointments) in the Personnel Department, and ACS, Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare Department.
Following the new orders, he will continue to handle these additional roles alongside his new assignment in the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department.
The reshuffle reflects the state government’s continued efforts to strengthen administrative efficiency and ensure experienced leadership across crucial departments, particularly in agriculture, a key sector for Haryana’s economy.
