New Delhi: In an effort to enhance the health and well-being of security personnel, the Ministry of Ayush has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) under the Ministry of Home Affairs.Â
The initiative focuses on promoting preventive healthcare, yoga, stress management, and holistic wellness among CISF personnel and their families.
The agreement was signed by Dr. A. Raghu, Adviser (Ayu.), Ministry of Ayush, and Pratibha Agarwal, Inspector General (Administration), CISF Headquarters, New Delhi. The ceremony was attended by senior officials, including Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, and Praveer Ranjan, Director General, CISF.
The collaboration aims to strengthen the integration of Ayush systems into the daily lives of CISF personnel. Key areas of focus include awareness campaigns, sensitisation programmes, yoga practices, lifestyle management, and wellness interventions. The initiative will also explore the feasibility of providing Ayush OPD-level services at CISF establishments.
Under the MoU, the Ministry of Ayush will offer technical support, develop wellness modules, and provide expert guidance through its institutions and research bodies. CISF will ensure effective implementation across its units nationwide.
This partnership marks a step towards improving resilience, mental health, and overall quality of life for security forces through traditional healthcare systems. The MoU will remain in effect for five years from the date of signing.
