New Delhi: The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the GATI Foundation.
The agreement aims to strengthen global skill mobility and create structured global employment opportunities for India’s workforce.
Key features of the partnership include
Developing a data-driven roadmap for overseas skilling initiatives
Establishing a Project Management Unit at Kaushal Bhawan to oversee international skill programs
Supporting Skill India International Centres (SIICs) to provide structured global employment pathways
During the signing ceremony, IAS Debashree Mukherjee, Secretary, MSDE, emphasized that India’s demographic dividend can become a global economic advantage only when the workforce is equipped with internationally recognized skills
The initiative aligns with the vision of ViksitBharat@2047, which prioritizes skilled human capital as a driver of economic growth, innovation, global competitiveness, inclusivity, and international cooperation.
