Kolkata: The West Bengal government finance department will pay DA arrears to state employees in multiple phases.
The arrears will cover the period from April 2008 to December 2019 were announced by CM Mamata Banerjee.
In the first phase, arrears for January 2016 to December 2019 will be calculated based on the All-India Consumer Price Index.
This will be disbursed in two installments in March 2026 and September 2026.
The payout remains subject to the final determination of total dues by the monitoring committee headed by Justice Indu Malhotra.
Modalities for April 2008 to December 2015 will be notified later.
The arrears for Groups A, B and C will be credited to their GPF accounts.
Group D employees will receive cash via bank transfers.
