Chandigarh, Apr 6 (APAC Media): In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Punjab government has transferred 12 IAS officers, including IAS Vikas Pratap (1994 batch) .
Pratap, who has been awaiting posting, has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Technical Education and Industrial Training Department.
Other IAS transfers are as follows:
IAS Sumer Singh Gurjar (1998 batch) has been appointed as the Principal Secretary of the Defence Services Welfare Department.
IAS Kanwal Preet Brar (2007 batch), currently the Secretary of the Health and Family Welfare Department and, in addition, Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration Department, has also been given charge as the Commissioner of the Faridkot Division.
IAS Babita (2009 batch), currently Commissioner of the Agriculture Department, has been given additional charge as the Commissioner of the Ferozepur Division.
IAS Harpreet Singh Sudan (2013 batch), presently Director, Sports and Youth Services, has also been given charge as the Managing Director (MD) of the Punjab Small Industries Export Corporation and MD of the Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation.
IAS Jaspreet Singh (2014 batch), presently awaiting posting, has been appointed as the Director of the Industries and Commerce Department.
IAS Himanshu Aggarwal (2014 batch), presently the Deputy Commissioner of Jalandhar, has been transferred and posted as the Deputy Commissioner of Patiala.
IAS Abhijeet Kaplish (2015 batch), presently the Deputy Commissioner of Sri Muktsar Sahib and Director, Mines and Geology, has been relieved of his charge as the Deputy Commissioner of Sri Muktsar Sahib.
IAS Amit Kumar Panchal (2016 batch), presently the Deputy Commissioner of Kapurthala, has been transferred and posted as the new Deputy Commissioner of Sri Muktsar Sahib.
IAS Varjeet Walia (2018 batch), currently Deputy Commissioner, Patiala, has been transferred and posted as the Deputy Commissioner of Jalandhar.
IAS Jasbir Singh- II (2018 batch), currently Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar, has been transferred and posted as the Additional Secretary of the General Administration and Coordination Department in addition to Director of the Hospitality Department.
IAS Akash Kansal (2019 batch), currently Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) of Mansa, has been transferred and posted as the Deputy Commissioner of Kapurthala.
As per the official notification of the Department of Personnel, Government of Punjab, these transfers and news postings will be implemented with immediate effect.
