Chennai, May 13 (APAC Media): In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday transferred 4 senior IAS officers. IAS N Muruganandam (1991 batch) has been posted as Additional Chief Secretary and Commissioner of Revenue Administration and Disaster Management.
He replaced IAS P. Amudha, who had been holding the post as an additional charge.
Other IAS Appointments Include:
- IAS M. A. Siddique (1995 batch), who was serving as Additional Chief Secretary and Managing Director of Chennai Metro Rail Limited, has been transferred as Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department.
- IAS Dr S. Swarna (1997 batch), who was serving as Principal Secretary and State Project Director of the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan, has been appointed as Principal Secretary of the Tourism, Culture and Religious Endowments Department.
- IAS K. Nanthakumar (2007 batch), presently serving as Registrar of Cooperative Societies, has been assigned to the Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation for appointment as its Managing Director.
The reshuffle comes just days after C. Joseph Vijay took oath as Chief Minister on 11 May 2026.
The latest appointments are being viewed as part of a wider administrative restructuring aimed at strengthening governance and improving public service delivery across the state.
