New Delhi, May 13 (APAC Media): The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the Class 12 board examination results for 2026 today, recording an overall pass percentage of 85.20 per cent.
The pass percentage has declined by 3.9 per cent compared to last year, according to board officials.
Students who appeared for the examination can now access their results through the official CBSE website. In addition, digital marksheets will also be available on DigiLocker and the UMANG app to provide students with easier access to verified academic documents.
This year, CBSE introduced a major change in its evaluation system by implementing the On-Screen Marking (OSM) process. Under the new system, evaluators checked answer sheets digitally instead of through manual evaluation. More than 88,000 computers were used for the process across the country.
This year, CBSE conducted the Class 12 examinations across 19,967 schools and 7,573 examination centres. A total of 18,57,517 students had registered for exams in 120 subjects offered by the board.
The evaluation process involved over 6,000 evaluation centres and around 70,000 evaluators. CBSE has also reiterated that moderation or grace marks may be awarded to students who narrowly miss the passing criteria under its grace marks policy.
