RailTel partners with Quadrant Future Tek for KAVACH project deployment

New Delhi: RailTel has partnered with Quadrant Future Tek Limited to deploy the KAVACH (Train Collision Avoidance System) project for both Indian Railways and international railway networks. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the two at RailTel’s corporate office in New Delhi.

Quadrant Future Tek Limited is awaiting final approval from the Research Design and Standards Organisation (RDSO), upon which it will become the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for the KAVACH project.

KAVACH is an advanced automatic train protection system developed by Indian Railways domestically. It is a crucial system that will prevent collisions, derailments, and ensure safe operations on railway tracks. The project was recognised as a national train protection system by the Ministry of Railways in July 2020, and its implementation has been given top priority by the Indian Railways.
