Dehradun, July 7 (APAC Media): The Uttarakhand Government has launched the ‘Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar’ campaign to deliver government services and resolve public grievances at citizens’ doorsteps.
The 15-day statewide drive was launched by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
The campaign, which began on July 4, aims to bring government services closer to citizens through special camps across districts, blocks, and tehsils.
At these camps, officials are addressing public grievances on the spot and helping people access various government welfare schemes.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to transparent, accessible, and citizen-centric governance.
The campaign has received a positive response, with thousands of people benefiting within the first three days of its launch.
Dedicated camps have been set up across Uttarakhand, where officials from multiple departments are working together to resolve public grievances and deliver government services.
The initiative aims to improve service delivery by taking governance to people’s doorsteps, reducing the need for citizens to visit government offices.
The camps are offering a wide range of government services under one roof, including:
- Social Welfare Pension assistance
- Ayushman Bharat Health Cards
- Revenue department certificates
- Distribution of agricultural equipment
- Seed distribution for farmers
- Health check-ups
- Essential medical devices based on medical assessments
The government said the integrated model enables eligible beneficiaries to access multiple welfare schemes at a single location, making service delivery faster and more convenient.
The campaign is also focused on resolving day-to-day civic issues raised by residents.
Officials are addressing complaints related to:
- Road infrastructure
- Electricity supply
- Drinking water
- Other local development and public service issues
The government said the initiative aims to ensure quicker resolution of public grievances and improve service delivery across the state.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said the campaign aims to ensure that citizens no longer have to make repeated visits to government offices for basic services.
He said officials have been directed to reach people, listen to their concerns, and resolve grievances at their doorsteps.
According to the Chief Minister, the initiative will strengthen public trust while making governance more efficient and citizen-centric.
The current drive builds on the success of the previous ‘Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar’ campaign held in December last year.
During the 45-day campaign, the government organised 681 public service camps across Uttarakhand.
Key outcomes of the previous campaign:
- Over 5.33 lakh people participated
- Around 33,000 public grievances were resolved
- Citizens received benefits from multiple government welfare schemes at a single location
The government said the earlier campaign received a positive response and helped improve public service delivery across the state.
