Visakhapatnam, August 7(APAC Media): IBM has opened a new FutureNow Centre in Visakhapatnam to expand its AI and consulting business in India. The new facility will support global clients with services in artificial intelligence, hybrid cloud, cybersecurity, software engineering and data analytics.
The centre was inaugurated by Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh along with IBM India and South Asia Managing Director Sandip Patel. The new facility is part of IBM’s plan to strengthen its technology delivery network as businesses increase spending on AI and digital transformation.
IBM said the centre will focus on AI-first cloud transformation, platform engineering, quality engineering and user experience services. It will also help companies speed up the adoption of AI and modern digital technologies.
The company selected Visakhapatnam because of its growing technology ecosystem, skilled workforce and strong educational institutions. The new centre is expected to create more opportunities for technology professionals while supporting enterprise digital transformation projects.
With the addition of the Vizag facility, IBM Consulting now operates 15 FutureNow Centres across India, further expanding its AI and cloud consulting capabilities to meet rising enterprise demand.
