New Delhi, August 7 (APAC Media):Â The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has appointed 1997-batch IAS officer Manoj Kumar Dwivedi as the new Chairperson of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC).
An officer of the AGMUT cadre (Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory), Dwivedi succeeds Keshav Chandra, who was transferred last month and has since taken charge as Secretary, Ministry of Mines.
Before his appointment, Dwivedi was serving as Additional Secretary in the Department of Personnel and Training (DoP&T) under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.
His appointment places him at the helm of the NDMC, the civic body responsible for the administration and municipal services in New Delhi’s high-profile administrative and diplomatic areas.
