Amaravati, June 16 (APAC Media): The Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) across Andhra Pradesh have introduced a comprehensive academic programme, ‘Vijayapatham’, for the 2026-27 academic session.
The objective of the programme is to enhance learning outcomes and improve performance in public examinations.
Launched under the theme “Learning is the Goal – Success is the Destination,” the initiative aims to achieve 100 per cent pass results, increase the number of high scorers securing more than 590 marks, and improve the overall academic rankings of KGBV students across the state.
Structured Study Schedule for Students
KGBV Secretary D. Devananda Reddy said the programme focuses on disciplined learning, regular assessments, and continuous monitoring of student progress.
Under the new framework, students will follow a structured daily timetable comprising regular classroom instruction, self-learning sessions and five hours of supervised study.
The schedule also includes three dedicated study periods each day under teacher supervision to strengthen academic preparation.
According to officials, the timetable has been designed to maintain academic discipline while ensuring students receive adequate breaks and personal time.
As part of the initiative, weekly grand tests will be conducted to assess students’ academic progress.
Students of Classes X and Intermediate will appear for subject-wise grand tests every Monday, carrying 100 marks each. Students from Classes VI to IX will take similar assessments every Tuesday.
Officials said answer sheets will be evaluated within three days and the results will be recorded in a specially maintained ‘Vijayapatham Register’ to facilitate continuous performance tracking.
Performance Categorisation
A key component of the programme is the weekly analysis of student performance.
Based on assessment outcomes, students will be grouped into four categories:
- Unnati: 90–100%
- Pragati: 65–90%
- Deepti: 40–65%
- Spoorthi: Below 40%
Students requiring additional academic support will receive focused guidance, remedial assistance and personalised mentoring to improve their performance.
The Vijayapatham initiative will be implemented in all 352 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas across Andhra Pradesh.
