Analysts said precious metals continued to attract attention amid changing geopolitical and economic conditions worldwide.
The movement in gold and silver prices came as global markets reacted to reports of easing tensions in the Middle East following indications of a possible understanding between the United States and Iran.
The development supported investor sentiment and influenced commodity markets globally.
Experts said fluctuations in international gold prices, movements in the US dollar, central bank policies and geopolitical events would remain key factors determining the direction of bullion prices in the near term.
Investors are expected to closely monitor upcoming economic data and global developments for further cues on precious metal prices, analysts added.
Bullion dealers noted that domestic rates may continue to witness volatility in line with trends in international markets and currency movements.
