New Delhi, June 3(CXO Media): India has been included in Anthropic’s latest expansion of Project Glasswing, giving select organisations access to Mythos, the company’s highly restricted artificial intelligence model built to identify cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
The latest rollout extends access to more than 150 organisations across over 15 countries, including India, Japan, South Korea, Germany, France and Australia. NATO has also joined the programme.
Companies receiving access include Okta, Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, SK Telecom, SWIFT and Intercontinental Exchange. The programme is focused on organisations whose systems support critical services and could have large-scale consequences if compromised.
India’s inclusion comes amid growing concerns around cyber threats targeting financial institutions, telecom networks, healthcare systems and public infrastructure. Anthropic says participating organisations were selected because a successful breach of their software systems could affect millions of people and have broader national security implications.
Mythos was launched in April with access restricted to a small group of mostly US-based organisations, including Microsoft, Apple, Oracle, JPMorgan Chase and CrowdStrike. The latest expansion signals a broader international effort to use AI tools for identifying and fixing software vulnerabilities before they can be exploited by attackers.
The announcement also comes as Anthropic prepares for a potential IPO that analysts estimate could value the company at more than $1 trillion, placing additional attention on its AI and cybersecurity initiatives.
