Dadri, June 17 (APAC Media): NTPC Limited has elevated Abhoy Kumar Mishra, Head of Project at NTPC Dadri, to the position of Executive Director.
The move marks a major milestone in his more than 35-year career in the power sector and also strengthens NTPC’s senior leadership team.
More Than Three Decades with NTPC
Abhoy Kumar Mishra joined NTPC on October 25, 1990, as an Executive Trainee in the Mechanical stream.
Over the next 35 years, he handled several key responsibilities in plant operations and maintenance.
He gained experience in overhaul management, outage planning and long-term operational strategy.
His long association with NTPC has made him one of the company’s experienced professionals in thermal power generation and plant management.
Strong Academic Foundation
Born in Odisha in 1966, Mr. Mishra has a strong background in engineering. He earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology, Sarang.
He later completed an M.Tech in Power Generation Technology from IIT Delhi.
His academic training has supported several key assignments during his long career with NTPC.
Experience Across Major NTPC Projects
Over the years, Mr. Mishra has worked at several key NTPC stations, including Korba, Talcher Kaniha, Simhadri, Tanda and Dadri.
He handled a wide range of responsibilities related to operations, maintenance and performance improvement.
Before moving to Dadri, he served as Head of Operations and Maintenance at NTPC Tanda.
His experience across multiple projects has given him deep insight into plant management and power generation.
