Noida, July 9 (APAC Media): Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Thursday reported a 5% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit at ₹13,420 crore for the June quarter of FY27, compared with ₹12,819 crore in the corresponding quarter of the prior year.
The company’s financial performance during the quarter reflected steady growth amid a challenging global business environment.
The company’s revenue rose 13.4% year-on-year to ₹73,843 crore in the June quarter, compared with ₹65,097 crore in the corresponding period last year.

The company’s board of directors has declared an interim dividend of ₹12 per equity share. The record date for determining eligible shareholders has been set as July 15, 2026, with the dividend payout scheduled for July 31, 2026.
“Q1 FY27 reflects continued growth momentum and the strength of our strategic positioning, despite geopolitical and macroeconomic headwinds. We delivered a strong order book of $9.5 billion, including a marquee AI-led transformation deal with SKF, while continuing to add clients across key revenue bands and scaling our AI business to a $2.6 billion annualized revenue run rate. As customers accelerate investments in AI, modernization, cybersecurity, sovereign cloud, and platform simplification, our strong deal conversion, improving client mining, and expanding ecosystem partnerships position TCS well to translate opportunity into sustained growth,” said K. Krithivasan, CEO, TCS.
The company’s annualized artificial intelligence (AI) revenue run rate rose to $2.6 billion during Q1FY27, registering a quarter-on-quarter increase of 13.6%. TCS posted an operating margin of 24.0% and a net margin of 19.2% for the quarter.

The IT major reported a total contract value (TCV) of $9.5 billion for the first quarter, reflecting continued demand for its digital transformation, cloud, and AI-led services.
The company signed new AI-led business transformation deals, including an $800 million mega deal with SKF, a multi-million-dollar strategic partnership agreement with ServiceNow, and a multi-million-dollar engagement with a Europe-based Fortune Global 5 company.
As of June 30, 2026, the company had filed applications for 9,803 patents, including 207 applications submitted during the quarter. It has been granted 5,670 patents, with 170 patents granted during the quarter.
The company’s patent portfolio includes AI-led inventions, comprising 1,996 cumulative patent filings, of which 163 were filed during the quarter, and 602 granted patents, including 29 granted during that quarter.
