Noida, July 23 (APAC Media): Vishal Mega Mart on Thursday reported a 25% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 259 crore for the first quarter of FY27, compared with Rs 206.1 crore in the same period last year.
Revenue from operations rose 18.7% year-on-year to Rs 3,727.0 crore in the first quarter of FY27, compared with Rs 3,140.3 crore in the corresponding period a year earlier.
Reported EBITDA increased 18.6% year-on-year to Rs 544.6 crore in the first quarter of FY27, compared with Rs 459.2 crore in the corresponding period last year.
“We had a strong start to FY27 with revenue from operations growing by 18.7% in Q1 FY27 to Rs 3,727.0 crore, backed by solid SSSG of 10.0%, a clear testimony to the resilience of our business model in this dynamic and uncertain operating environment. Further, growth remained broad-based across all product categories. Consumption demand trends during the quarter remained steady, supported by resilient economic activity. As of June 30, 2026, Vishal Mega Mart operated 819 stores across 559 cities, covering a total retail area of approximately 1.38 crore square feet.
During Q1FY27, apparel contributed 47.4% to revenue, followed by general merchandise at 27.3% and FMCG at 25.2%.
The company had a large and loyal consumer base of around 17.5 crore customers as of June 30, 2026. However, brands contributed 75.2% to revenue during the quarter.
The company’s quick commerce initiative was extended to 767 stores across 520 cities, with a registered user base of approximately 1.41 crore.
