Kanpur, 20 August (APAC Media): C3iHub at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur has collaborated with Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University (DBRAU), Agra, and the Vivekanand Incubation Foundation (VIF) to launch a vocational programme in cybersecurity aimed at making technical education more accessible.
The initiative is expected to reach more than three lakh students across over 570 colleges.Â
The programme will be delivered in Hindi, addressing language barriers that limit access to technical education, particularly among students in semi-urban and rural areas.
Practical Training and Cybercrime Awareness
Under the collaboration, C3iHub will design and deliver the curriculum, based on IIT Kanpur’s research and training expertise in cybersecurity. VIF will provide the administrative and technical infrastructure required to deploy the programme at scale.
The course will cover cybercrime and cyber hygiene, social media threats, identity theft, personal data leaks, online safety for women and children, the dark web, cyber terrorism, and other illegal online activities.
Dedicated Cybersecurity Counselling Cell
Alongside the vocational course, DBRAU will establish a dedicated Cybersecurity Counselling Cell (CCC). The cell is expected to help mitigate cybercrime incidents and provide preventive guidance and support to students.
