New Delhi, September 23 (APAC Media): The Railway Board has approved the appointment of Anjum Pervez as the regular Managing Director of the National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd. (NHSRCL) on a contract basis for a two-year term.
Pervez will take charge as MD on or after October 1, 2026, following his tenure as Director (Projects) at NHSRCL. His appointment will be on a contract/re-employment basis.
Pervez has been associated with NHSRCL since its inception on December 6, 2016, and has played a key role in the planning, development, and execution of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor (MAHSR), popularly known as India’s bullet train project.
Before joining NHSRCL, he held several responsibilities in Indian Railways, with experience spanning track modernisation, railway planning, and the commissioning of new railway projects.
His elevation to the top executive position comes as NHSRCL continues work on India’s first high-speed rail corridor and the development of supporting infrastructure.
