Epson DS-530III Scanner: Key Features
The sheet-fed scanner can scan at speeds of up to 40 pages per minute (ppm) or 80 images per minute (ipm). It supports a daily duty cycle of up to 6,500 pages, making it suitable for regular document-heavy workflows.
The scanner uses one-pass duplex scanning to capture both sides of a document simultaneously. It also supports different paper sizes and carrier sheets for scanning fragile or irregular documents.
Document Protection And Scanning
Epson has added Paper Protection and Double Feed Detection Skip (DFDS) technology to detect unusual paper feeds and help prevent document damage. Glass dirt detection can also alert users when dust or dirt affects scanning quality.
The WorkForce DS-530III supports Epson Scan 2 and Document Capture Pro software. These tools allow users to create searchable PDFs using OCR, organise scanned files and configure up to 30 customised scan settings.
The scanner can also be connected to the Epson Perfection V39II flatbed scanner through an optional dock. This allows users to scan thicker or fragile materials such as books and receipts.
