The partnership will combine Deloitte’s consulting and engineering capabilities with CAST’s software intelligence technology. The companies said the focus will be on helping businesses assess complex application environments before starting large-scale transformation projects.
AI And Legacy Application Modernisation
Many enterprises are managing application portfolios built through years of acquisitions, cloud migrations and technology investments. These systems can contain technical debt, duplicated functions and dependencies that are difficult to identify before a modernisation project begins.
CAST’s software intelligence platform will map application architecture, dependencies, technical debt, open-source risks and modernisation complexity. Deloitte plans to use these assessments across client projects involving legacy and mainframe modernisation, cloud transformation and AI readiness.
Focus On AI Readiness And Cloud
The alliance will also target technology due diligence during mergers and acquisitions, application managed services and cyber initiatives. The companies said the application-level data can help teams decide whether systems should be rehosted, refactored or rebuilt.
CAST will provide Deloitte teams with access to its software intelligence platforms, assessment tools and training. Deloitte will develop use-case playbooks covering application modernisation, technology due diligence, cloud transformation and AI readiness.
The two companies plan to conduct proof-of-value projects, client workshops and industry-specific solution development across the Asia-Pacific region. The alliance comes as enterprises increasingly look to modernise existing software systems rather than build new technology estates from scratch.
