Chandigarh, September 25 (APAC Media): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has launched the ‘Satarak–Haryana’ mobile app, creating a digital platform through which citizens can directly report corruption-related complaints and share information with the State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (SV&ACB).
The app allows users to connect with the SV&ACB helpline with a single tap, upload digital evidence such as videos, audio recordings and photographs, and access details of vigilance officers in their respective districts.
One-Touch Helpline, Digital Evidence Sharing in Satarak
The app eliminates the need for citizens to remember the SV&ACB helpline number, providing direct access through the platform.
Citizens can also share information related to suspected corruption even when they do not want immediate action against a particular individual.
The government said such information will be kept confidential and can contribute to a systematic digital database for further analysis and action as per applicable rules.
The platform currently connects all 23 districts of Haryana. Users can select a district to access the name and mobile number of the concerned SV&ACB officer, along with the location of the office and directions through Google location services.
Escalation to Senior Officers, FIR Access
The app also provides an escalation mechanism for complaints concerning inappropriate conduct by SV&ACB personnel.
Through the next-level option, citizens can access the contact details and office location of the concerned Superintendent of Police, allowing them to directly approach senior officers with complaints or information.
The app also enables citizens to download copies of FIRs made available through the platform, subject to applicable rules.
The ‘Satarak Haryana’ app is currently available on the Google Play Store. The government said it will also be made available on the Apple App Store based on its usage and outcomes.
SV&ACB Chief Dr Arshinder Singh Chawla urged citizens to submit genuine, accurate and fact-based information through the platform and cautioned against uploading false, misleading or artificially generated material.
