Kanpur, September 20 (APAC Media): The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has launched an eight-week training programme to strengthen Digital Literacy, Computational Thinking, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) skills among 900 participants across Uttar Pradesh.Â
The initiative aims to equip educators with modern technology skills and help them integrate digital tools into classroom teaching.
The programme is being implemented in collaboration with the Government of Uttar Pradesh and the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT).
Teachers from 75 Districts to Participate
The programme will bring together participants from all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh, providing educators from different regions an opportunity to strengthen their digital capabilities.
The initiative will be led by Professor Ramkumar J., Coordinator of the DLCCAI Programme; Professor Satyaki Roy, Head of the Department of Design at IIT Kanpur and Academic Head of DLCCAI; and Professor Vimal Kumar, Professor-in-Charge, Office of Outreach Activities, IIT Kanpur.
Eight-Week Programme to Cover AI, Cybersecurity, and Robotics
The training will be conducted in six batches of 150 trainees each over eight weeks. It will follow a blended learning model combining online courses, mentoring, and practical assessments at IIT Kanpur.
Participants will receive training in Digital Literacy, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Python, Educational Technologies, and Robotics. The programme is designed to provide educators with practical exposure to emerging technologies that can support technology-enabled learning.
