New Delhi, September 14(APAC Media): Apple is rolling out iOS 27 today. The new iPhone software update will become available globally, including India, on September 14. Apple first showcased iOS 27 at WWDC 2026 and has since released multiple beta versions ahead of the public rollout.
iOS 27 Release Time In India
Apple has not announced a fixed release time for India. Based on the company’s previous iOS launches, the update could start reaching users at around 10:30pm IST, following a 10am PT rollout in the US.
The update will arrive through an over-the-air installation. Users can check for it by opening Settings > General > Software Update. It is advisable to back up important data and keep the iPhone connected to power before installing the update.
iOS 27 Supported iPhones
iOS 27 supports the iPhone 11 series and newer models. It also works with the second- and third-generation iPhone SE.
The supported models include the iPhone 18 series, iPhone Duo, iPhone 17 series, iPhone 16 series, iPhone 15 series, iPhone 14 series, iPhone 13 series, iPhone 12 series, iPhone 11 series, iPhone SE (3rd generation) and iPhone SE (2nd generation).
iOS 27 Features
Siri is among the major changes in iOS 27. Apple is expanding its AI capabilities with Foundation Models and Gemini, while adding support for personal context and actions across compatible apps.
Apple is also expanding Visual Intelligence, allowing users to analyse objects, scenes and on-screen content. The Liquid Glass interface introduced with iOS 26 gets more customisation options, while Photos, Safari, Wallet and Shortcuts receive additional Apple Intelligence features.
The update also adds new parental controls, including contact approvals, Ask to Buy, Time Allowances and scheduling options. The Phone app, Messages, Mail and Safari are also getting interface and functionality changes.
