New Delhi, September 25 (APAC Media): The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) to establish a mechanism for sharing relevant data for the development and strengthening of the Statistical Business Register (SBR).

Under the agreement, information from the Udyam Registration ecosystem of the MSME Ministry will be shared with MoSPI through a structured framework. The data is expected to help improve the coverage, consistency and reliability of business information used for statistical purposes.
The MoU was signed by Dr Rajneesh, Additional Secretary and Development Commissioner, Ministry of MSME, and Dr Dalip Singh, Additional Director General, MoSPI, in the presence of senior officials from both ministries.
The initiative aims to strengthen the availability and quality of business data for statistical and economic analysis.
