National Highways Authority of India chief Sukhvir Singh Sandhu has been relieved by the central government appointed department for his native state Uttarakhand on Monday. With this, IAS officer Sukhbir Singh Sandhu has been made the new Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand.
Srinivas R. Ratikithala, Secretary, Appointments Committee of the Union Cabinet, Sandhu of the 1988 Uttarakhand Cadre (Cadre) of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) is transferred to his original cadre at the request of the State Government.
“In the welfare of people, you have been appointed Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand and I have been given charge of the chairperson of Board of Revenue,” said the official communique by Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi.
