BrightCHAMPS has appointed Kartik Sharma, Founder of DcodeAI and an internationally-renowned author of Essentials of Artificial Intelligence as Director of Curriculum and Learning Experiences.
Kartik has been tasked in his new role with improving and expanding the curriculum, as well as transforming learning experiences globally across all four BrightCHAMPS verticals – technology skills, robotics (STEM), financial literacy, and communication skills – into a more democratic, inclusive, and holistic one. Kartik will also be in charge of the company’s AI learning vertical.
In the near future, Sharma plans to modify the BrightCHAMPS curriculum for multiple countries and geographies, matching it with local cultures, practices, academic standards, and rules. He will also add a layer of child and behavioral psychology to it, with the goal of making the entire learning experience more fulfilling and comprehensive.
Kartik’s work at BrightCHAMPS will ultimately be driven by the larger objective to democratize learning – to make it more inclusive in nature, so that kids with special learning challenges, as well as those from less fortunate circumstances, can access it and make the most of this opportunity.
The high-profile appointment follows several ambitious expansion and growth-related announcements from the corporation. BrightCHAMPS has launched a $100 million acquisition corpus, acquired Singapore-based communications and English live-learning platform Schola, and is targeting numerous more acquisitions from around the world, primarily in South East Asia and the United States, in the previous two months.
Kartik has over 15 years of expertise in developing disruptive technology solutions and leading high-performing product teams. He is a seasoned AI practitioner who has worked with prominent organizations throughout the world, including Nestle, Deloitte, Hitachi, Bharti Airtel, ITC, MTN, Vimpelcom, Dialog (Axiata Group), and Macquarie Bank, to leverage Machine Learning.
He also has previous experience working with policy-level educational initiatives and is a mentor with Atal Innovation Mission for the Government of India and has been a guest lecturer/mentor in various educational and training institutes across the world such as IITs, ISTD, NIPM, SHRM, IIM, LSBU London, IMT, VIPS, DSB, etc. He has also done an AI maturity assessment for the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) in UAE.
