Ongole: Prakasam Bhawan, the Prakasam district Collectorate building, received ISO 9001: 2015 certificate recently, for upholding best practices by the district administration.
An initiative taken by District Collector AS Dinesh Kumar, through the incorporation of technology in administration and public grievance redressal, saw improvements in working procedures and responsibility of employees.
Upon analysis of the practices in the district Collectorate by the ISO agencies on August 29, it was established that the documentation, file management, grievance redressal, monitoring system, and human resource management were at par with the ISO standards, thereby issuing the Collectorate the ISO 9001: 2015 certificate.
The certificate was presented to Collector Dinesh Kumar, at the Collectorate building, by ISO agency representative Sivaiah on Saturday, as the latter highlighted the fact that Prakasam is the first ever district in the state to receive such an ISO certificate.
