New Delhi: The Central Government recently granted approval for the appointment of IAS Himanshu Gupta as the Secretary of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in New Delhi, within the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education.
As per an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Gupta’s appointment to the position is effective for four years from the date of assuming office or until further notice, whichever comes first.
Himanshu Gupta, a 2012 batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, currently serves as the Director (Education) in the Department of Education, Government of NCT of Delhi. The order instructs that he be promptly relieved of his current duties with directions to commence his new assignment.
