Bengaluru: Netskope, a leading Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) provider, has successfully completed the rollout of Localisation Zones for its NewEdge security private cloud. This expansion ensures a localised user experience in 220 countries and territories, covering all non-embargoed UN member states.
While adopting cloud web proxies or Security Service Edge (SSE) solutions enhances security and reduces management overhead, maintaining a localised user experience poses challenges for enterprises. Netskope addresses this by introducing 205 Localisation Zones, complementing its existing full compute data centres in 71 regions. This establishes global coverage, offering a localised experience for over 220 countries and territories.
The Localisation Zones, launched in February 2023, deliver consistent digital experiences for users worldwide, overcoming issues like incorrect content display or language differences. Customers benefit from native language and localised content support, access to geo-fenced content, and applications, irrespective of the absence of in-country data centres.
Netskope’s NewEdge private cloud platform has undergone significant enhancements in the past 18 months. These include a 40% growth in global data centre regions, substantial presence in Mainland China, expanded Management Plane footprint, and improved infrastructure connectivity with over 3000 adjacencies to more than 620 unique ASNs.
David Mann, Managing Director at PageGroup, emphasised the importance of Netskope’s Localisation Zones in preserving user experience, stating, “Data residency is one thing, and user experience is another.”
Jason Hofmann, SVP of Platform Strategy and Architecture at Netskope, highlighted the unique advantages of NewEdge, stating, “Customers aren’t forced to make trade-offs when it comes to security, user experience, and performance.”
