Gurugram: Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM), a subsidiary of Tata Motors, inaugurated its first two electric vehicle (EV)-exclusive showrooms in Gurugram. The TATA.ev stores, situated in Sector-14 and Sohna Road, will open their doors to the public on January 7, 2024.
The stores were constructed using locally sourced recycled or recyclable materials to minimise environmental impact by avoiding long-distance, high-emission transportation.
The TATA ev stores offer a community space for Tata EV users, featuring events listed in the EVOLVE community calendar. Current EV owners’ testimonials addressing challenges and dispelling myths are highlighted.
Tata Motors, holding a commanding 71% share in India’s EV market, pioneered electric variants of popular models like Nexon, Tigor, and Tiago, surpassing 100,000 electric car sales.
Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd, revealed their intentions to open more stores over the next 12-18 months.
