Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government is considering a New Year gift for UP cadre IAS officers. In a recent meeting of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) chaired by Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra, the government signalled its approval to grant promotions to 97 IAS officers. As a result, these officers may anticipate receiving promotions along with an upgraded pay scale in the upcoming new year.
Following are the promotions expected from the order:
- Four IAS officers from the 1999 batch might be elevated as Principal Secretaries.
- 17 IAS officers from the 2008 batch could be promoted to Secretary/Commissioner.
- From the 2011 batch, 24 IAS officers will potentially move up to Selection Grade.
- 34 IAS officers from the 2015 batch could be promoted to the junior administrative grade.
- Lastly, 18 IAS officers from the 2020 batch might become Chief Development Officers from Joint Magistrate.
