New Delhi: Saloma Yomdo has been named as the new Director (Exploration & Development) for Oil India Limited. He was recommended for this position by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB). He is currently posted as the Executive Director (Exploration & Development) at Oil India.
Yomdo was chosen for this role out of 12 candidates that interviewed. Out of them, six candidates were from Oil India, two from GAIL India Limited, two from ONGC Videsh Limited, and one each from HPCL and ONGC.
In his new role, Yomdo will be responsible for preparing exploratory policies, managing budgets, and overseeing the progress of the company’s exploration and development programs. He will also be joining the board of directors and reporting to the Chairman & Managing Director of Oil India.
Oil India is a Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.
