New Delhi: In a grand ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan, President Droupadi Murmu appointed Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of India for his third term. The BJP-led NDA secured its third consecutive term with 293 Lok Sabha seats, with BJP winning 240 seats.
30 Cabinet Ministers, 36 Ministers of State (MoS), and 5 MoS with independent charge from the BJP and its allies in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) also swore-in during the event. The President administered the oaths of office and of secrecy to the Council of Ministers. An official statement confirmed Narendra Modi’s appointment as Prime Minister and listed the new Cabinet members.
The names of the Cabinet Ministers who took the oath are Raj Nath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Jairam Gadkari, Jagat Prakash Nadda, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Nirmala Sitharaman, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Manohar Lal, HD Kumaraswamy, Piyush Goyal, Dharmendra Pradhan, Jitan Ram Manjhi, Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh, Sarbananda Sonowal, Virendra Kumar, Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, Pralhad Joshi, Jual Oram, Giriraj Singh, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Bhupender Yadav, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Annpurna Devi, Kiren Rijiju, Hardeep Singh Puri, Mansukh Mandaviya, G Kishan Reddy, Chirag Paswan and C R Patil.

The Ministers of State (Independent Charge) amongst the Cabinet of Ministers for Modi’s third term are Rao Inderjit Singh, Jitendra Singh, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Jadhav Prataprao Ganpatrao and Jayant Chaudhary. International attendees included Nepal PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Sri Lanka President Ranil Wickremesinghe, and Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina.
