Rajgir: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the new Nalanda University Campus in Rajgir, Bihar. The university, built with the assistance of East Asia Summit countries, contains academic buildings, auditoriums, hostels, and other facilities designed to serve many students and faculty.
During the ceremony, Prime Minister Modi emphasized Nalanda’s historical significance, its position as an ancient center of learning, and its current relevance in promoting education and sustainability. He highlighted the university’s contribution to global information sharing and the necessity of such institutions in promoting international collaboration. Several dignitaries attended the opening, including Bihar’s Governor, Chief Minister, and officials from 17 nations. The attendance of international delegations demonstrated the global interest in Nalanda University Campus resurrection, which seeks to build on its ancient tradition by offering modern educational infrastructure and cultivating a diverse academic community.
