New Delhi: The Department of School Education & Literacy (DoSEL), which is part of the Union Ministry of Education, has announced proactive measures for managing menstrual hygiene during the upcoming 10th and 12th Board Examinations in an effort to prioritize the well-being of female students.
The DoSEL has made it mandatory for all exam locations to provide free sanitary pads in recognition of the difficulties girls encounter when they lack access to sanitary goods and facilities.
According to a statement from the Union Ministry of Education, the Department of School Education and Literacy has issued an advisory for all schools across the state and Union Territories to address the challenges that girls face due to limited access to sanitary products and menstrual hygiene facilities during examinations.
